Christmas Day 2014

Doughnut doesn't waste any time. She spotted the presents first and started to rip, chew and bite her way into her presents.
Doughnut: "Presents! Santa brought us presents!"

Here you can see Chip, Coco, Hazel, Rocket, Yiasoo and Doughnut opening Christmas presents. Yiasoo and Doughnut received toys and treats.

Rocket got a skateboard. Hazel got a bike. Chip and Coco received a TV set.
Everybody: "Thank you Santa".

Merry Christmas everybody :)

Santa Claws is coming to town

The Carrot Family have been getting along really well with the Guardians.
You can see all six of them fast asleep together here.
It's been an unlikely friendship.

Santa and one of Santa's Elves have been out and about checking the naughty list.
Santa: (Gasp) Sylvanians and Guardians are friends?! This goes against all of the ancient laws.
Santa's Elf: "Mmmmm".

Are the Sylvanians and the Guardians on the naughty list this year? Will they wake to find presents or lumps of coal in their stockings on Christmas Day?

A new life

The Carrot Family have been living here. I've said they can stay as long as they want. They are getting used to having two guardian cats and two humans as friends. It's been really good fun.

The return of Wolfy

Wolfy has done a very bad thing. Whilst Rocket and the Guardians were sleeping he sneaked into the room. He crept up towards Rocket quickly and quietly.

Then he grabbed Rocket and squished him into his large, black bag.
Wolfy: "Now I can take my revenge".
Rocket: "Help. I haven't done anything wrong. MAGIC MAYHEM, MAGIC MAYHEM, MAGIC MAYHEM"!

Suddenly a magic portal appeared!

Then a monkey jumped out of the portal, but he quickly vanished into thin air.

Next a hot air balloon popped out of the portal. It was carrying a Sylvanian rabbit.

Coco: "Agh- Help. There's a Guardian!
Yiasoo: "Agh- A Sylvanian! Hey, you look like you could be Rocket's Mum. Go save Rocket- Quick"!

Rocket's Mum flew over to Wolfy and quickly grabbed the big, black bag. Wolfy ran away. Two more hot  air balloons popped out of the portal, it was Rocket's dad and sister.

Here you can see the Carrot family. (Coco, Rocket, Chip and Hazel- from left to right).

Chip: "Quick. We need to leave. There are Guardians here that will eat us".
Rocket: "It's ok Dad. Yiasoo and Doughnut are my friends. They have been looking after me. I also have two human friends as well. They make delicious carrot soup"...

Hazel: "How did we get here?"
Rocket: "Wolfy captured me so I called Magic Mayhem for help".
Coco: "We saw the Magic Mayhem Monkeys. They created a magic portal for us so we could get here quickly".

I have just made the family some carrot soup and some sleeping bags so they can get some rest.

Thank you for all of your kind comments. I love reading them and they motivate me to write more about the little guys that have moved in with me.

Time to get running

Just as I was about to wash my hands I spotted a wolf hiding behind my hand wash!

Soon after the chase began.

Rocket: "Help me, it's Wolfy and he's got a huge axe".
Wolfy: "Looks like I'm having rabbit stew tonight- Mwah ha ha (evil laugh).

Doughnut appeared within seconds and began to wrestle with Wolfy.

Wolfy was no match for a life sized cat. He ran away as soon as he could escape.

Me: "That was terrifying! I think I need a lie down".
Rocket: "Me too"
Doughnut: "Me three"
Me: "Doughnut, did you just talk???"

Waiting for Mummy...

Rocket has temporarily settled in here. He has been eating quite a lot of carrots! After asking the cats to be kind to Rocket they started to be nice. Doughnut started to pick Rocket up and share her bed with him, even after I sewed a little sleeping bag for him:

Waiting for Rocket's family was fine until Rocket, Doughnut and Yiasoo spotted a warning on the Sylvanian notepad A.K.A. The Moon. (I always wondered why the cats spent so long staring at the moon- now we know!)

Check back soon to find out what danger is lurking around the corner!

Meeting Rocket

(Munch, munch, munch) Whoa! Hello?!

“Good morning! I’m Rocket, a chocolatier. Thank you so much for the carrots. Carrots are my favourite. How did you know?”

You’re welcome. Carrots were a lucky guess I suppose?! Are you ok?

“There was a forest fire that burnt our village down and now I can’t find my family. You can see me and your guardians are trying to eat me! I want my mum.” (Sob, sob, sob)

Oh dear! My guardians?!

“Your cats; Yiasoo and Doughnut are your guardians. They protect you from evil monsters and things.” Zzzzzzz

Caught on camera

These are two of the images that have been captured this week. It appears our cats, Yiasoo and Doughnut have been chasing a tiny rabbit around the flat. It has solved the mystery of the tiny shirt but now there are so many more questions that need answering.

What should we do next?

Tiny shirt

Doughnut, our youngest cat had brought me a tiny little chequered shirt. On it were two of the smallest buttons that I have ever seen.

I was instantly curious. Where had it come from? Who could create such a tiny shirt? My husband was awake, staring at the little shirt.

Suddenly Yiasoo, our eldest cat ran into the bedroom. Both Yiasoo and Doughnut began to meow and left the room. We sprang out of bed in excitement and followed them to the kitchen where they began to paw at the cupboard door. They were hungry for their breakfast so we fed them. As soon as they had eaten all of their breakfast they curled up into their own beds and fell fast asleep.

Nothing else unusual happened that week but we couldn’t stop thinking about the tiny, chequered shirt. After a lengthy discussion and a good search around the flat we decided to set up a camera to discover the truth.

Something unusual

I was living a normal life. My husband and I used to joke about how our newest family members would sometimes go nuts and race around the flat as fast as they could. Vets and other cat owners said this along with long naps and frequent pulling of carpets was normal cat behaviour.

After a while we began to sleep through the early morning chases, pouncing and cat toys being dropped on our heads. They had quickly charmed their way into our hearts and also the middle of our bed (little sneaks). Life with cats had become the norm and everyday was pretty much the same as the day before.

But one morning, something unusual was dropped onto my pillow…
